Hi all,
So on 09/12/11 me and an old mate Yazdani, some might know him as Dave, we took off upto HawksNest to go camping and fishing.
The truth is it didnt matter if we got fish or not, it was awesome to be spending some time to just hung out and talk and play some cards.
We arrrived at the campsite above at midnight, i know i know. but it was an adventure and we had the tent up in no time {a pop-up tent accorfing to Dave} no it was just a regular tent , but likely an easy ine ti out up without instructions.
Here is the finsihed product.
We had an awesome spot right beside the river. It was great just looking around the place birds were singing all day it was really nice. All I kept thinking was it would be nice for the kids to run around and play here. Especally when the dolphins kept swiming up and down the river. Yeah you heard me dolphins in the river.
The people there were really nice even the group giggleing at us setting up the tent at midnight. It only cost $15 a car per night. It was so worth it. Im greatful to my wife for makeing this happen.
It was good to get away even if in the back of my mind a was worried about you and the kids and if they might be getting to much since you had them akk week and now all weekend. thank you thank you. I reall enjoyed it and I believe Dave did to.
OH YEAH THATS RIGHT. whos that good looking camper. The one and only fish we got that weekend. it was huge honest, like myself and Dave and Kevin the old boy setup beside us had to pull her in.
Ok it was small but thats fine. I havnt been fishing since i was about 10 years old, so this fish was perfect and it was a symbol of getting what you asked for from the universe. I asked for a rain free weekend and at least one fish and i got it. There was no other options in my mind that was how it was going to be and thast how it was.
We had some yummy sausages cooked over charcoal nad our homemaid bbq, they came out yummy as, would of been perfect with same Watties Tomato Sauce.
Dinner was perfect, cooked over the coals, dave made some mean as potato cooked to perfection and it crumbled the corn was so tasty and the steak well, just look at it... We used daves Navy Seal SOG knife as my steak knife. Dave used his pride and joy im sure he will tell you about it.
So overall it was really nice, cloudy sometimes but no rain in site which was wicked considering it wa pissing down all week. So here is a couple more pics showing the 2 days.
