Sick and Standards.

When there's an event for the kids, i tend to come up with grand ideas, forgetting that i have kids who will stop me from achieving these ideas.

Harmony Day is the new 'Multicultural Day'. I had this idea that i would make mini foods to highlight the kids backgrounds.

Kiwi Fush and Chups by Che:

Saigon Spring rolls by Stella
And - i tossed up cornbread- hahaha coz Kynans got roots in soul food - but opted for Miniture apple pies instead.

Kynans American Apple pie.

I didn't factor in this: One sick Jacien.

One ambivalent Che.

One troublesome (but concerned and lovely) Tivianh

So at 2am once again - i'm hearing the voices of people say ' oh my god so much effort.. they won't even notice!!.'

And that is why i do these things, because I NOTICE! Mini foods from around the world, might mean more to me than anyone else that will see it and wonder what on earth??!? but i do it coz- if i'm gonna do something - i might as well do it my way.

  1. I love your ideas and your enthusiasm in doing little things for your kids & family. I LOVED the fish sandwhiches (Zane showed me at work today) please post those - they're AWESOME!. You are pretty inspiring. My husband and I are thinking of having kids this year and I have been contemplating if I will put my creativity and energy into being an amazing mum (even if its for my own self satisfaction) or if I will just do the bare minimum because noone will know the difference except me. Anyway - love the blog :)
