Hey kids,
Guess what? No more brothers or sisters for you..........
So on Monday 2nd March I woke up and got the train into town just as if I was going to work. But I was alittle nervous as I wasn't going to work this nice looking morning I was going to the doctors...yay..dont really yay i was a little scared. Yes Che dad gets scared sometimes too.
So I arrived in town and tried to find the street I needed to be on got lost completely and went on the opposite side of town and then managed to find the place right on time. I walked into the place and there were about 3 other guys sitting in there.
It was wired because I knew that they knew, I knew what they were there for and I was there for it to. A vasectomy. So they give you a bag with some little things in it a sample cup some lollies papers etc. Then you pay your $650.00 so the can cut you. lol
So does it sound like fun?....whos in? uncle Mike is that you with your hand up?
Anyway you get called into a room of a small counselling session to make sure you really want to do this, they ask questions like how many kids you have there ages etc, are you sure do you know it permanent and then it can be reversed but expensive and not guaranteed etc etc. YES YES IM sure, "But your very young" I don't want any more, I'm sure lady.
So then I sat with a little asian lady telling me these things then explain you need to give a sample 3 months after the operations and how I should make the sample "awkward" you sign some papers then back to the waiting room.......about 15 min later
I was then taken into a prep room and the same lady says here and hands you the apron looking thinking to wrap around yourself. she then ask you to lay down and she is going to shave you......ah ok.... so the paper work said don't shave the area....then they go and shave it for you a complete stranger......"awkward" all I kept thinking was please don't cut me.
Once that was done I was left to think about stuff because I didn't bring a book like they suggested. they man before me was really making some crazy noise's and I thought man this is going to hurt, but then he said he had a phobia.....I laughed to myself cause I was thinking doesn't every man have a phobia about people cutting his balls.
About another 10 mins pass and the doctor comes into see me while the nurse preps the room for me, has a chat to me about the procedure and the possible things that could go wrong like any surgery really. Yeah bro all good lets do this.
So I walk into the operating room and there was a different lady nurse, ok great two females going to see my bits today...lovely...so to late now just jumped on the table and let them do as they pleased.
THIS WAS THE PART I WAS SCARED OF CHE. The local anaesthetic, the needle they had to put into my scrotum and let me tell you my son and any other male who may be reading IT WAS NOTHING.....a blood test needle hurts more.
There was 3 times during the operations that I felt some pain and it lasted about 3 second then it went away it was pretty painless really. However i was trying to stay as relaxed as possible and that might be why t wasn't so bad.
They tell you when they have finished one side and when they have finished the other. You can tell really because you can smell the sent of burning hair...then you realise you don't have hair there and come to the conclusion they just sealed you tubes.
Once its finished you can get dressed and sit and have a cup of water etc and can leave if you felt ok. I felt fine cause the local was still working so I went home and got the train back. The local started to wear off around 4 pm but the pain wasn't to bad slight throbbing but nothing major. I had panadol the first night as I wasn't sure if pain would get worse.
They next morning the pain was the same so I haven't had more panadol since, it has been awkward walking and my lower back hurts because you are bent funny while trying to walk and been laying down in bed for days hurts.
So a few more days later this being Friday (Easter Friday) I took off the waterproof bandage think the put over it....no stitches they just cover it with a water proof plaster really. I took that off today and the cut hasn't healed yet but its not bleeding so I covered with small plaster and its all good.
Today I have felt some pain as I have been standing long and long and trying to do things today. It is and feels bruised in places and makes it uncomfortable but nothing like I imagined the pain to be at all, so really it not to bad just need to lay down for a bit every now and then.
Now Vien, I have finally done it what I said I would do even though it has been but off a couple of times its now done for sure. It move onto improving more things in our live and make it a wonderful time to share with each other and our perfect little family.
