Day Won

It won't be a long one because i miss my husband and it feels like i havent seen him in weeks, i've been here instead, tottling away at my marvelous projects and neglecting what is in the seat next to me.

But i'd say today was a great day, having to document all the things we do makes all those little things that we do... seem so much more fun. I love that i have my own spaces with the kids, mine and the cameos whose parents know little of what goes on once their offspring have entered my assylum. Haha... Van witnessed our pre-day huddle, before Tivi was sent off to school with her, shook her head and said ' You do some strange things together.'

Haha and that we do, we do strange and fabulous things together, and most of the time these things are peppered inbetween the things we HAVE to do, so they are layered in yellings and smackings and telling offs... but actually stopping to record and enjoy them... magnifies their significance. And the other things fade away. Anyway here's the wrap up...

Tivi said her favourite part of her day was making a fathers day card for her dad, she's been so excited about fathers day that every day this week she's been coming home and saying 'IT'S NEARLY FATHERS DAY!' and dropping hints to zane about what she's bought and made for him. Haha..

Che said his favourite part was being allowed to wear his mismatched shoes to childcare haha!

Jacie said his favourite part was going to the farm, which was what we did on Sunday, then his favourite part was playing with Che, then his favourite was 'colour'

Stella didn't tell me her favourite parts coz she was gone before we got to that, but my favourite Stella moments were, when she said her jeans were 'So tight, I (she) was going to die!' and when she told Che off and demanded that he fix his shoe issues. Haha... on returning from childcare i asked if she had been embarassed by Che's shoes all day and she answered 'YES!' lol

Kynan when asked what his favourite was, very clearly said BOOK! Yo gabba gabba book! haha, awesome answer little dude.

Zane's favourite was remembering music whilst having a chat with some workmates in his last break at work, this explains the headphones... haha no he wasn't playing games... why would you think that at all?!? : P

For me, today has been a lesson in acknowledging the small and simple pleasures of being surrounded by little, funny and complicated people. My favourite part, like Che was his shoes...

The Question for today was Teacher or Student. And the answer is as everyone knows, Both. We learn from each other, discover the world. Unlearn the things that don't make sense. Like why should we wear shoes that match when we like both and have two feet upon which to wear them. Haha we made the world, we made the rules... and if we wanna change them, so we should!
