Ok so i really didn't wanna do a blog today, coz i forgot to ask the kids what their favourite parts of the day were and i was heaps lazy.
I don't know where my phone is it's not in the house because i called it with Zanes phone and it didn't make any sound. It could be on silent. But i don't have any photos either.
Here's my guest blogger for the night.
Vinnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:
Hi friends!
I don't really have too much to say, and I'm nowhere near the wordsmith that my sister is.
Today I'm thankful for fashion and freebies and waiters with smoulders.
Wow, that was excellent.
Haha anyway, this is gonna be short coz i have no photos to stretch it out and umm i gots not much to say.
The blog is titled so, coz Becki Skyzernecki msged me with kind words and propositions. She wants to join us in our fun days and smiletimes, with the long anticipated JOINT BIRTHDAY pardee parrdeee that we always half mention every year since we met when we were 15 or so.
Haha in the msg she refers to They & i's List as the Bucketlist. No no we are not kicking buckets anytime soon, my friend we are filling them up with sand and making mounds of sand because our castles never survive the stomping feet of under 5's.
I deem it the Sandpit list, Because i witnessed at Che and Stellas childcare the magnetic pull of Sand.... they opened the cover and the playground was deserted within minutes, as they all pulled off their shoes and socks and went climbing and clambering in with buckets and spades and little hands that grabbed at the golden specks and let them fly in the breeze- and into each others mouths and hair.
Tivi when we were in New Zealand loved the sand so much, the first time we hit the beach there, she shovelled spadefuls into her gumboot and unbeknownst to me... hid this treasure with her foot and acted as if nothing was awry. Haha when we got home and she took off her boot, a pile of sand fell ceremoniously on the carpet of the place we were renting.
Those were good times. Thus in honour of the magic that is, the fairy dust of the beach- the summertime memories of childhood- we deem the They & i List 'The Sandpit List'. No metaphorical bucket kicking round here folks. We are young and limitless. One year is just a start in the playground of life.
Haha i told you i was tired!! The second half of the title comes from a random conversation Cat and I had while basking in the sunshine of her backyard, stomachs filled with Fajitas and contentment...
Cat talked about a wedding she'd attended and meeting/sharing a table with someone called Natalie Tran who she (Cat) kept referring to as a 'YouTube Sensation'. Procrastinating from my nightly blog i remembered this conversation and googled the name.
And to the strange looks from Zane and half laughs from Vinnie, proceeded to watch and laugh so hard in certain parts there were tears in my eyes.
I like her. Vinnie says its because i would totally say some of the things she's saying. Haha i have that kinda humour i suppose, which is why i found it so funny.
Vinnie was reluctant to like her and Zane just made nose breathing noises and faces at her videos. I came to the thought that people are really quick to (as the cool kids put it) 'hate'. They be hatin on everything these days.... and why?? why the negativity?? why the put downs? Why the heck is everyone always quick to talk smack talk to those just doing something coz they can.
Haha, Vinnie wasn't hating so much verbally but she was hesitant and saying things like 'apparently'... which is always like u know, when you dont really believe someone deserves what they got and coz you're apparently more deserving than them. Haha bitches be hatin totes right fully.
Anyhoos, good on her, (Natalie that is not Vinnie) she's hilarious. So's her mum. Classic. I wish i had a mum who did skits with me. I wish i still had a mum full stop
Lol anyway this is going nowhere really quick.
So today (and everyday) i am thankful for old friends, who always have my back no matter what my latest craze is... and for the new friends, the ones who smile from afar and are warm and encouraging and give me happy thoughts from out of nowhere, just when i need it- Like bubbles and raindrops of loveliness... i more than appreciate you all. You know i do.
for strangers who have the courage and confidence to put themselves out there for the world to judge. And the truth is there are those in the world who will see negatives no matter what... stick your tongues out to those good people, and go on with your merry way.
Jason Mraz puts it like this 'Hold your own, know your name - and go your own way.'
And Jason Mraz would know, because he has a hat and wears it all the time.
Haha... sorry about the tangents tonight- there was lots of distractions.
I love 5 dollar books- And i love it when Che smiles up at me as i'm tucking him in bed, as if i were the best person he knows, and sometimes he says 'You're the best mummy.' and i think - you kids are so easy to please.
Goodnight good fellows, i've changed the settings a bit on the comments... Zane's been working really hard on branching this over to its own space- so soon we might be moving but for now- feel free to add what u dudes thought was cool about YOUR days. Coz fun + fun = Fun Squared.
wait no Fun x fun is fun squared, fun plus fun is just 2 lots of fun.
Haha *licks and delirium*
http://natalietran.me/ Likes.
Wait wait coz i feel bad for the lack of effort here, i'll add this to it. Hehe Kynan turns 2 on Saturday and his smile is Orshum!
(He says Vien, AWESOME and BEST! if you can't understand him haha) one of the highlights of my days.
