Honour.

Haha i convinced Dave to watch Game of Thrones. Yes i know i am going on about it - because yes, it is that good! I was telling Dave how it makes me want a sword, the way Star Wars made me want a light saber.

He said it was a regression to childhood. I said it was a regression to simpler times.

Times when you live and die for honour. When it was as simple as that. When the good guys had values they didn't mind dying for, didn't mind fighting for. Zane said but everyone is always backstabbing and scheming. Those are the bad guys. The good guys have their honour and they live and die by it. I like those principles. When you value something over life- it makes life worth it. Not many people these days will die for convictions- honour is lost in the murky waters of reasoning and justifications.

I was gonna talk more about these things but i'm very tired now from sidetracking all night haha so i'm just gonna leave it for now.

Haha i'm falling asleep between sentences coz the late nights are adding up.

So lets skip to photos again haha this is Tivs dishing her veges coz she gets to play with the face plate.

Jacie did this to his beans and garlic sauce lol Che said ' He planted it mum, like flowers!' hehe cute.

Che calls Ninjas, Injas. He loves lego and ninjas and when Ninjago came out (Lego injas) he loved it instantly- he was introduced to injas from Inja Turtles. haha even tho the first download of Ninjago i got was in German- he's sit there watching intently anyway. Today i saw this tee in a Target catalogue and went to get it for him. This was his favourite part of the day- getting his lego inja shirt.

I printed out photos for Zane of the kids for his Christmas decorations... and was reminded of how much i love prints. Digital is all convenient n stuff- but holding an actual photograph in your hands- it just FEELs better!

I printed out some of the black n whites, that i'm so into right now- but wasn't happy with Tivs ones coz she had her hair tied up - and Tivi to me isn't quite Tivi without that hair all over the place- so we tried to reshoot her black n whites, but by the time we got to it, it was already dark and i like natural light so much better. We got a few nice ones- but her brothers kept jumping in so haha maybe tomorrow...

Tivi's favourite part was - i can't remember! haha i know i know how terrible!! haha it was something very ordinary though i think she only said it coz she just did it and it was the only thing she could remember... haha but i can't remember it anymore!! haha i think it was something to do with dinner. Haha... sorry Tivs.

Jacies favourite was watching Tv- watching Cartoons TV.

I saw this idea somewhere on my online meaderings- Jars as photo 'frames'  with room to add memories and momentos - i thought it awesome and i do love my jars- not kid friendly but interesting very very interesting. and there's my Nikon FE2. Missing it lens cap but lovelier still for it.

Those wooden frame boxes costed me 2.50- the prints 34cents.  I love that for 2.84 (per each lol) i have something that makes me happy from the nicest of smiley places.  I know cheap thrills.

Hehe Vy has been trying to  convince me to start a child photography thingy to replace the staged childcare photos she pays for every year and never likes. I don't have the confidence to sell what i do - i just do it for fun, and they turn out i think partly coz they know me and i know them- and when i take pictures of them- its part their personality and part mine.. i'm not sure i could do that with every other kid.

Anyway highlights of today- wandering the shops with Jacie while waiting for the photos- watching him eat pie, coz he's a cute eater and strangely very neat.

Getting prints of *some* of the photos we've been taking. Oooo they are nice to hold!

While the kids were eating i was picking up toys and picking up bowling pins- i turned to them and juggled the pins. Tivi couldn't believe it, Che laughed and laughed. Hehe i like the oddness of out of the blue shinannigans. And doing things before i think about it.

After he finished his dinner, Jacie and i turned on Lifehouse, and danced to You and me and he smiled and giggled and sang with me as we spun around while the other kids finished off their meals. When we were done, he said More mum, put on music- dance more. And we did.
I received a response from the orphanage we want to visit - confirming it was okay to bring the kids in and clear up some details- setting up appointments so we have to lock it in and do it!! Yay Vietnam and adventure. Awesomeness.

:) ANyway snoozy again so leaving now twas a good day, a mighty fine one... and it was also Nathans 1st birthday sooo - Happy birthday Squishy!!
