The force

My head is filled with gunk again! I don't know why i keep getting sick. I suppose working with carrier monkeys means contracting disease is part of the job risk.

So as much as i'd like to stay and chat, i need to rest my mucus filled head.

Highlights of today were- watching Tivi pull her new school trolley bag - haha she complained that her back hurt from carrying her backpack so we went to choose a new bag. She chose a pirate bag. Later on when she got home and Zane promised us a family dinner out, she got dressed and put on a Tiara. Then after playing princess for a while, donned on a darth vader costume, grabbed one of the light sabers and proceeded to fight the boys.

Then she stood at the window of my bedroom in the mask, holding a pirate pistol and a light saber - she was pretty chuffed when a lady on the street downstairs spotted her and waved. It occurred to me that my daughter is the perfect mix of Tomboy and Girly girl. A precarious balance of sensibility and insanity.

She came to find us after playgroup, and when i saw that she was sitting alone eating her lunch i asked where her friends were, she replied 'I don't know, i just walk around by myself.'
Oh, why?
*shrugs*
Are you happy though?
She nods and continues eating as if it didn't even occur to her that there was anything odd about it.

Hehe it reminded me of how i never hung out with anyone in particular for much of primary school, and how odd it feels to be on the other side watching and feeling a little anxious for her.

The boys, who i skim over a lot these days - were just fine. Haha... Jacie loves spending playgroups alone with me, because he didn't use the toilet today and pooped in his nappy, i narrowed my eyes at him. He looked at me and said 'Are you not my friend mum?' Hehehe...

He always starts sentences these days with Somebody and in between he punctuates with But, but... but....

'Somebody is not my friend dad, but i pooed in my nappy, but i didn't go coilet. But i am big boy, but...'

Hehehe and no matter where Kynan is- if Jacie gets hurt- 70% of the time Kynan did it.

Che broke an ice cream bowl at the restaurant when we went to eat. He asked to sit next to me and hugged me tight and told me he loved me. Several times. This makes a lot of things okay.

The kids had a blast playing with the Light sabers. Che fights and in between humms the theme of Star Wars.

A day that ends with Light sabers, Thai food and icecream.... is by all means an awesome one.

:) Love.
