The day is made up of these moments, my camera holds for me
When it has passed and the sound of laughter has faded from the air -
I keep forever, these souvenirs- of the people we have been.
One day, she said to me, Daddy doesn't love me the most- he loves you the most. I picked her up and told her, one of the few truths i know in this world.
Baby girl, if your dad had to, absolutely had to, if he really did and must and there was no other way but to choose, between me and you (or any other girl in this whole wide world) - he would choose you. And that- is just a fact. You came along, and stole my man- but it's okay - you're lucky that i love you too, or we'd have to fight.
Hehe, she smiles and i remember the day she came running out to me as a toddler and said- full of pride and a smile bursting across her face- I KISSED YOUR MAN! and ran away giggling.
Today i found them in the bedroom, enjoying air conditioning and cuddles. I wonder when she will realise - how much of his heart she holds.
In the other moments:
Stop yellun, says Jacie in a soft voice next to me. I look down at his sleepy eyes. I don't like yellun.
He buries his face in my shoulder.
I don't like it either!!
And so tomorrow - i tell myself, there will be no Yellun.
Tomorrow, Chicken little says- Is a new day. Another chance to do things better.
Thank you for today, for those smiles. Those chocolate eyes. These moments, that make all else quiet, small and insignificant.
Thank you, for giving me - the honour of sharing your lives.
