One can dream of declarations from their husbands of awesomeness and undying love.
Haha- Friday - on the way back from dinner we dropped off quickly at the park - on Malabar street where i grew up. For years i dreamt of this park- the way it used to be- and the road off to the side of it with the gravel stones - i used to have this reoccurring dream of being chased barefoot over rock and shattered glass. Right there. THe road has been paved. The old playground no longer exists. Nothing much remains of my childhood memories. Even the house we lived in has changed so much from the image in my head... and i realise how much has changed in the world.
My kids were insanely happy with the equipment - we weren't there for long. It was the highlight of my day. Jacies smile on the swing - he was laughing hysterically shouting faster!! then I LOVEEEEE YOUUUUUUUUU.... haha... Tivi wanted to be a surfer girl. And Che, he freaked me out by climbing up to the top - looking down and saying - wooo a big jump! and before i could protest - lept, and landed neatly on two feet, ran off to climb the next thing.
I remember a picture of all of us, with Vinnie as a toddler - right there in that park that looked nothing like it used to. I miss my mum. And the kids, they beam right through the ghost of memories... and the sun set over us. Their smiles make me glad to be there.
Saturday, we went grocery shopping - Tivi and Che stayed with the Morrises. Zane stopped in the Easter Egg aisle and told me he always got an egg for easter. He got them giant ones. One each. These are what favourite parts are made of - chocolate... and for Jacie - Crispy skin chicken and rice. Hehe...
Che tells me to put my frustrations in my hands and shake it out, or if i like - in my bottom and shake that. Haha its a new technique we've been trying for all those moments, when sharing and caring are replaced by yelling and tantrums. I love how Che runs with all my ideas.
Tivi likes to leave love notes. She's been scrawling love notes to everyone. LOL i was cleaning her room and found a list of Mum and dads Mistaks. Under this heading she had two columns. Under dads she had written Dad was 'go zit the lunbag' - apparently she had already done this before she was told. Tsk tsk. Bad mistak dad!! haha my column was happily empty of heinous crimes.
I can't believe she's keeping tabs! LOL
Jacie ate an entire serving of Crispy chicken and rice from a restaurant by himself. We had to stop in and get him food because he was 'so hungry'. His favourite part of the day was when he was hungry and he got to eat chicken and rice. Haha

I'll be back sooon. for now - just greatful for all these ordinary things. :)
