They earn Bookclub dollars to purchase books from Bookclub for doing/being awesome. (eg. Che earned 3 Book club dollars yesterday for eating his dinner extraordinarily well, packing up the toys and getting the clothes for showers. He lost them again later that night for refusing to go to sleep and playing with his toys at 9.30ish lol, that was his meanie guy Dads call not mine!)
Tonight we did a midweek grocery shop. To stop them from running around - they were each given a list (with illustrations) and the instructions to find the items without running off or being silly.
First one to find all their items wins 2 bookclub dollars- haha the bonus prize was whoever found Mums coffee first. Tivi being the only one who could read signs - scored that (coffee) prize (a bonus dollar), and because she ended up finding Che's last item for him at the expense of her own - i settled with 5dollars to Bookclub to go towards something they can choose together, for awesome teamwork.
We love bookclub. I love silly inventions of games with the kids.
