Che sometimes says to me remember mum? "All i have is within me Now! All the Love and Joy!"
Kynan says 'All i have is Ninny now!'
Which sends Jacie into a frenzy of 'NOOOO it's WITH in ME! NOt ninnnnnnyyy!'
To which Kynan says 'All i have is Ninny now!'
Haha... these are sometimes funny car moments.
When i first played Tony Robbins Cd's in the car... only Tivi seemed to notice. Until the day Che started incantations. Haha... which caused all the kids to start them too... so we extended incantations to Gratitude and Thankfulness.
We go around the car on the way to childcare. Early when my nerves are frazzled by breakfast battles and the rush out the door.
The first time i started with being thankful for each one of them... then for random stuff like blue skies and warm winter clothes...
Che catches on quick and was thankful for his Sword and shield, that i'd given him the day before.
Stella said she was thankful for Jacien. Jacien said NOOO i don't like you Stella! Stella responded with 'Did he just say he didn't like me?? It's okay i love you anyway.'
Hehe... i told her i was thankful for the way she loved her family. She smiled her happy smile.
Kynan said he was thankful for his shield and sword too, and Jacie said the same. Haha... then he said he likes stella too.
Today, on the way home from Dads place, I asked them to tell me what they were thankful for today...
Tivi said Wacky Wednesday! (the schools mufti fundraiser.) and playing with her friends. Kynan said he was thank you for his sword and shield.
Jacie said he was thankful for his books in the library.
Che, was thankful for the batman toy Aunty Van gave him. AND- he says... one more thing. I'm thankful for Favourite parts mummy.
Che loves his favourite parts. It's the end of the day routine now... i visit their beds, hug them and plant kisses on their heads... Che always gives me Four, one on each cheek, one on my forehead and one on my nose. Then we hug. And they 'give' me their favourite parts of the day and i give them one back- a 'my favourite part of you' and tell them something awesome they did that day. Sometimes... i have to admit i struggle with Tivi... haha someday's all she's made is mischief.
Hehe Che often says, my favourite part is hugging you right now Mum. then proceeds to give me another 5 favourite parts... hehe...
Somedays all i want to do when Zane gets home is tune out and let him handle.
But they seek me when it's bedtime - come get our favourite parts mum, and make our beds cosy.
Some nights it takes a lot of will power to just complete the day... haha... but i love it. I love they love it so much. I love hearing about the things that made them happy.
Jacie almost ALWAYS makes something up that never happened, or something that happened long ago... Tivi often tells me she has none. Hehe then i offer some ideas. She always nods and smiles and we hug and it is a great way to end all our troubles.
Today, i kept Che with me because he's been sick and spending much of his time in the toilet... hehe... but to stay out of the house for a while, he came with Jace and i to Storytime.
When we picked up Tivi and as we walked back to the car, he told her 'The library was Really good today Tiv!'
I love how they love books, and more recently they love participating- in singing and reading and craft activities.
So today, i'm with Che... gratitude is in books, libraries, hugs and favourite parts. :)
