This time of year!

I was all like Yaaaay because everyone else was so like Yaaaay! Coz they all finished work today and are going off home to enjoy the Christmas weekend - then we had pizza for dinner and afterwards i was like *yawn* so sleepy!

Haha so now i'm kinda in between about things right now

Highlights of today included:

- Today being the first day of the holidays this week that we've been at home and not at the Morrises, the kids were in their jarmmies in the morning running around jumping on furniture- Tivi asked if they could watch a movie, and seeing that i had a load of housework to catch up on i agreed and put on Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang.

Haha- the opening scene with the kids jumping on the furniture was apt- and because Che ran into his room at the sight of nanny McPhee haha... i coaxed him out with popcorn and apples and when they all settled i told them that Nanny McPhee might come see them if they weren't careful. This made Che and Tiv very quiet.

Tivi wanted to help me with the cleaning up after the movie, so we put the boys to sleep and while they napped we packed up toys, made beds, washed dishes, did laundry, vacuumed - haha she vacuumed for like 2 minutes then said it was too noisy and hurt her ears.

I don't know why i've never tried that one with Zane- sorry i cant vacuum it hurts my ears!! Lol- helping was her favourite part of the day- she cleaned up her play kitchen whilst i cleaned the real kitchen it was nice, i always have to remind myself that even if she gets in the way and slows me down- she's helping and its awesome that she wants to.

Aww then we had a semi-surprise visit from Mel who messaged me earlier saying she had presents for the kids and might drop by- haha i found her lurking at the top of my stairs when i went to hang out the laundry. Creepy but nice!! Too nice! She's always bringing them things and i keep telling her to stop - they have so much stuff already! Haha... but the force (of giving) is strong is this one.

Thank you for always being thoughtful and coming all the way out to give my crazy ungrateful kids too many presents and watch as they go nuts showing off for you in the most uncivilised ways imaginable. Haha and then we're like there, threatening them to get them to give you hugs. Hahaha!!

Haha all through this blogging - which i started at like 11-something- Mariis been distracting me with what's become a common occurrence - late night crazy talking with the sleep deprived mums club. Haha always a good laugh. I love our We time!!

SO yeah, i've lost my train of thought several times- so sorry if its reading wrong! Haha- today CHe's Favourite part was having dinner and Jaciens was have dinner - eat chicken rice and hug dad.  We had pizza. LOL

I forgot to mention yesterday when we had flowers, i found a rosebud that had fallen on the ground and gave it to Jacie - flower for a pretty girl, i said to him.
He said Oh! and went running off- he ran back and forth til he found Tivi and said Here Tiv, flower for you!

Haha Tivi did this cute lil smile, and its awesomely cute that Jacie ran past Maddie and Aunty Van twice before he found Tivs.

Today i loved reading peoples statuses- from the hours counting down til knock off time - to all the plans that they have for the holidays.

I like the excitement in the air, and the brand newness of another year!

We've locked in a visit to the Ho Chi Minh City Orphanage project for the Christina Noble Foundation. Thank you to a kind dude called Brenton who organised this for us, and who has been a pleasure to liaise with. Maybe one day we will meet you at the Bali orphanage!

I also became wildly excited by this http://www.arthousecoop.com/projects/sketchbookproject - what an amazing idea. I want to (will) do it with  the kids. I love these kinda innovations for sharing inspiration, i love how easily ideas float from one side of the world to another now. Thanks again to Yummii and her wall of spectacular finds. It's like a supermarket of awesomeness there.

Vietnam is coming and our plans are settling in. 2012 feels like a big year, i'm full of giddy excitement.

In my roamings i also found this : http://www.imom.com/pages/30-day-mom-challenge/

And yes, i'm gonna scrap MOM and put Parent - and Zane and i we will take this challenge - he doesn't know it yet but he will. Haha and we will see how the kids respond. Looking forward to challenging myself, to facing fears, to breaking habits.

Merry Christmas Eve my friends!! *licks all round*
